Hari Raya in Singapore 2026

Ramadan 1447H began on Thursday 19 February 2026. The Mufti announced it on 17 February, noting the crescent was not visible above Singapore's horizon at sunset because the moon set four minutes before the sun (MUIS, 17 February 2026). The Geylang Serai light-up had already been switched on five days before the month began, on 14 February (PMO, 14 February 2026), which is the usual order: the lights and the bazaar arrive before the fasting does.

Aidilfitri on Saturday 21 March fell inside the MOE March school holidays, 14 to 22 March (MOE, 2026 school terms), so for families the day sat inside a break that was already there. Working adults on a five-day week got the Saturday treatment set out under the table below instead.

The prayer arrangement was the largest in this run: about 240,000 spaces at mosques across up to three sessions, plus 24,000 more at up to 49 supplementary venues, close to 30 per cent more supplementary capacity than the year before. Booking was needed for one session at one mosque only (MUIS, 13 March 2026). Set that beside 2020's 8,750 slots and 2022's 153,250.

For Hari Raya Haji on Wednesday 27 May, the deadline that catches people is the korban one. Registration for SalamSG Korban 1447H closed on Friday 22 May, five days before the day itself, across 55 mosques: 51 offering the overseas korban slaughtered in Australia and seven offering local korban. Published 2026 prices were S$365 for a sheep, S$370 for a lamb and S$370 for a one-seventh share of cattle (MUIS, 9 April 2026).
