How a reported error is handled

Every date on SG Hari Raya traces back to a primary source: the consolidated public-holiday dataset on data.gov.sg, the gazetted list and press releases MOM publishes, and MUIS for religious practice, zakat and korban. A reported error is checked against that source before anything changes here. If the source confirms it, the correction is made in the data layer that every page reads from, so the year page, the calendar download and any guide that mentions the date all change together. Nothing is quietly edited on one page while the rest of the site keeps the old value.

Three things make that fast. Please include:

• the value the page showed you
• the value you believe is correct, and where you saw it

The last one matters most. A correction with a source attached can be verified in minutes. One without a source has to be researched from scratch, and it waits behind the ones that can be checked.

What to expect back

SG Hari Raya is run as a small independent operation, not a newsroom with a desk on rotation. A correction that arrives with a source is usually the fastest thing to deal with, often within a few days. A general question takes longer, and in a busy stretch a reply can take a week or two. Every message is read. Not every message needs a reply, and a correction that holds up will often appear on the site before it appears in your inbox.

We also do not print a fixed figure for anything MUIS resets each year, so check the current zakat and korban rates at the source.
